Hello Beautiful,

I am doing something special as a sort of count-up to Christmas with a special tribute on Christmas Day. If you follow my instagram, @bringingbeautifulback, you will see that I already started with the first day of gold.

Gold is my favorite color and Christmas is my favorite time of year, so I thought it would only be appropriate to do something special with the two of them this season.

Up to Christmas, I will post a gold inspired outfit or accessory everyday that will be perfect for a holiday party or just something to wear to brighten your mood and those around you.

Gold is one of those colors that can be worn year round but it takes a special place at Christmas as it one of the three main colors of the season: red, green and gold.

Hopefully, you will get some inspiration with your wardrobe in what I post over the next several days and here is the first one for you to check out.

Count up the days with me as we draw closer for Christmas and allow your expectations to grow in anticipation of the special tribute.

I hope your Thanksgiving holiday was full of much thanks, family and food. Here is to a beautiful new week.

YOU SAY I'M BEAUTIFUL

December 3,  2014  Wednesday

I don't need anyone's approval

Hello Beautiful,

I wanted to share a song with you that I heard on the radio station that I listen to most often, Air 1. It was the first time I heard this song or of this band, their album was released earlier this year.

I thought of all you beautiful people out there. We all have different stories, different things that we have gone through, but we are all beautiful.

So read the lyrics below and apply them to your life, beautiful.

The song is called, "Furious Love" and it is by the band Veridia.

He said that I would never be
A silhouette that he would want
I shifted shape and recreated me
The girl I was, I soon forgot
A love like that won't last long
So suddenly it all goes wrong
When beauty starts to fade

But You say I am beautiful
I don't need the world's approval
Only you madly pursue me
And jealously tell me
I am worthy of
Furious love

With all you have and all you are
Your universe was incomplete
In a sea of silver stars
Still the sky was dark
And so you dreamed of me
A love like that is all I want
I don't ever have to be what I am not
God, I love the way

You say I am beautiful
I don't need the world's approval
Only you madly pursue me
And jealously tell me
I am worthy of
Furious love

Your passion is a fire
An all consuming fire
I can't get enough
Furious love

You say I am beautiful
I don't need the world's approval
Only you madly pursue me
And jealously tell me
I am worthy of
Furious love

Your passion is a fire
An all consuming fire
I can't get enough
Furious love

Your passion is a fire
And all consuming fire
I can't get enough
Furious love

SEASON OF GIVING

December 5,  2014  Friday

Give

a little

love

Hello Beautiful,

It’s that time of year when we take our eyes off from ourselves and think about the ones we love. What can we get for them to make them happy? What can we do for them to make life easier for them?

I wonder if that is what makes it the greatest time of year. The giving.

You see ... when we spend time caring about, thinking about, and loving on others, we become “magically” happy. It works, it really does.

Am I the only one or does other’s hearts fill with love at Christmas? It is almost like we get an overdose on love. Maybe that love is sparked by the giving and by the thinking of others. Maybe.

We wonder why the feeling of Christmas cannot last all year? Well, maybe it could. If we kept caring for others and loving others even the day after Christmas and kept it going into the new year. That would be pretty awesome.

No we don’t have to buy gifts everyday but there are gifts you can give everyday: letters, a service, a real hug ...

Let’s keep this season of giving going long past the holidays, beautiful. Imagine how beautiful life would be like that.

ALL MY HOPE

December 8,  2014  Monday

Put your hope in Him

Hello Beautiful,

Have you ever heard the phrase, “Never lose hope?” Or maybe you have felt like hope was the only thing you had left. Believe me, I have been there and know exactly how that feels.

Hope is definitely something very important. But hope in and of itself will not do too much for you. You need to have hope in something stronger than yourself, greater than yourself. Something that you can rely on.

You may be wondering what that could be. Well, the only one worth putting your hope in is God Almighty. He promises over and over in his Word to never leave us or forsake us.  He promises to be a strong tower for us when we are weak. Better still, he said that he loves us so much that he sent his only Son into the world to be the bridge for us to get to him.

That is who I keep my hope in. Though I am only 26 years old, I have been through more than my years should allow of disappointment and pain. And I can promise you that the only way I made it through those years is by keeping my hope in God alone. Man failed me over and over again. I failed myself over and over again. Things are not even worth placing hope in. But God has NEVER ever failed me and I know he never will.

The same goes for you, beautiful. God will never fail you or leave you. It is safe to put your hope and your trust in him and his promise.

The holidays are a beautiful time but I know they can be a difficult time for people as well. It can increase the hurt from losing a loved one. It can at times make you feel like there is no hope, but that is when we need to remember the most that all of our hope is in God.

Instead of allowing your mind to wander into the dark pain and hurts of yesteryear, think back about 2000 years ago. The whole reason we celebrate the holidays is to celebrate the birth of the one who came to save us, to love us and to give us hope and life more abundantly.

Be blessed beautiful and place all of your hope in Him.

ADORE HIM

December 10,  2014  Wednesday

Come Let Us Adore Him

Hello Beautiful,

As we celebrate this Christmas season, we are filled with joy, stress, chaos and hopefully some cheer.

It is hard to remember the reason we celebrate this holiday in the midst of the hustle and parties. Buying presents, wishing for love, hoping on Santa Claus.

What is it really all about? It is about celebrating the birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. His birthday is the only birthday that we celebrate where we all give gifts to each other. He gave us the ultimate gift, his life.

It is a special time. A sweet time. A time to cherish our family and loved ones. A time to draw closer to God and experience the love of Jesus in a real way.

This holiday is all about Jesus the Christ. There has been a lot of arguments through the past few years of taking Christ out of Christmas. If you do that, there is no Christmas at all. If someone does not want Christ in Christmas, than they have no reason to celebrate Christmas.

I do have a reason to celebrate and I will continue celebrating because Jesus is my Savior and I will celebrate his birthday for the rest of my life.

LET IT GO

December 13,  2014  Thursday

You are worth more

Hello Beautiful,

In Jacksonville, there is this radio station that I have been listening to at one of my jobs. It plays Christmas music and that is the main reason I will listen. There is this lady who is the dj, so to speak, called “Delilah.” She opens up her show to women to either ask for relationship advice or tell why they are so grateful for their husband/boyfriend.

After listening to it a few times, I find that there are many women who are holding on to relationships and to guys that really do not care for them and some even treat the women badly.

It breaks my heart to hear their sad stories. You know that all they want is to be loved and cherished.

I fell for this right after I graduated from college. We as women think that life is supposed to go in this certain order so whatever comes along, we take it, accepting it as what should be.

In my mind, I was supposed to graduate from college, get married, start a career and then have children. It does not always work out that way. I allowed myself to fall in love with the first guy that showed me any attention, even though he was emotionally abusive to me.

I figured, he is here at the “right” time and he is all I will ever get. But he only wanted to kiss me and his feelings did not go much further than that.

To say the least, I was spared from marrying someone who would have destroyed me and my dreams. My heart was broken into a million pieces for a while afterwards and it took a long time to get myself back to being me. But I am thankful for that situation. I learned a lot from it.

First, there is no way that any women should ever settle for a guy that doesn’t like her or does not know if he does or not. Unattach your heart and move on. Your future self will thank you.

Second, life does not always go the way our heads have planned. Roll with the punches and be ready for plan B, C, D.

Thirdly, women are to be cherished by their mate. Not treated like trash. Some men have really messed up thinking and they do not deserve a women at all. They definitely do not deserve you, beautiful.

If you find that you are in a bad relationship right now, do what is best for you and get rid of him. You are not going to die. This will only make you stronger and wiser.

JUST DO IT

December 31,  2014  Wednesday

Happy

New

Years

And I plan to do just that. My goals for this year stream from running a half marathon (the Disney Princess one to be exact), to making my own natural make up and continuing my education in French and Mandarin Chinese.

I also have bigger plans set up for this year. I like my years, my days to be full. So I start planning as soon as I can.

Planning in advance helps me accomplish what I want to do easier and quicker. It makes it easy to save up and get everything done.

I hope that your 2014 was beautiful and that you made many great memories. I also wish you a blessed and amazing new year. Think about things that you would like to do. Really set your mind to it for this new year and you can make it happen.

Happy New Years beautiful!

Hello Beautiful,

Well, beautiful, this is it. The end of another year. Another chapter in your life is closing.

How did 2014 go? Did you meet every goal? Do everything you planned to do? Did you love with heart wide open?

I did not either but that is the beauty of a new year. Pick up things we forgot we wanted to do. Make new goals. Find new things to learn or hobbies to take on.

What are you excited about in this new year for 2015? What resolutions do you want to set or goals do you want to make?

Make a motto for the year. My motto for this new year is “Just do it. But do it big!”
